Groups and Users
To manage users and groups in the Marketing Cloud, you must have administration rights.
Users are managed from the Marketing Cloud and automatically synchronized with Adobe Campaign.
For more on this, refer to https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/mcloud/user_mgmt_admin.html.
To view the users in Adobe Campaign, click the Adobe Campaign logo, in the top left corner, then select Administration > Users & Security > Users.
To access the user management interface from Adobe Campaign, click User administration.
For more on this, refer to the Managing user permissions video.
Users must always be linked to a security group this will allow you to assign them specific roles, organizational and geographical units.
To add a security group, you first have to add your security group in Adobe Campaign. To access it, click the Adobe Campaign logo, in the top left corner, then select Administration > Users & Security > Security groups.
The chosen ID will be used for the security group created in the Marketing Cloud. For each group, you must define a geographical and organizational unit, as well as one or several roles.
Then, you must create the security group in the Marketing Cloud while respecting the "Campaign - tenantname - ID chosen in Adobe Campaign" syntax. For more on this, refer to https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/mcloud/user_mgmt_admin.html
To restrict a user's access, do not add the user to the Campaign Standard users group as this is linked to All geographical and organizational units.
If a user is in several groups, the roles of the different groups are cumulated.
A user can be linked to only one geographical unit and one organizational unit. If a user is in several groups linked to different units, then it is the unit that is the highest in the hierarchy that will be used (see example in the Units section).
For more information on how to create a security group, refer to the Use case: Users & Security.
If a user is linked to several units that have the same equivalent level and are in parallel branches in the hierarchy (such as Canada and the US), the user will no longer be able to connect.
