  1. Improvements

    Functionality

    Description

    Fatigue Management

Fatigue Management allows you to create fatigue rules to manage over-communication with profiles. Fatigue rules are easily built, but are extremely flexible with capabilities such as counting messages across multiple channels (including transactional messages), only counting specific deliveries, or applying rules to specific profiles.

For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

Content creation: Import from a URL

Import from a URL enables you to quickly retrieve your creative content from a website to build emails for any delivery. Additionally, you can streamline your creative process by enabling third parties to share content directly through a URL. Imported content can be flexibly used as part of a single delivery or at the template level ensuring brand consistency for all related campaigns whether they be workflow-based or transactional messages, and include A/B or multivariate testing. Import from a URL automatically converts and tracks all links to monitor email performance through Dynamic Reporting.

For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

  1. Improvements

    Functionality

    Description

    Multilingual Campaigns with Experience Manager

A unique end-to-end solution to solve the marketer’s operational challenges in conducting multilingual email campaigns by combining content creation, translation, and collaboration capabilities in AEM Sites with Multilingual Deliveries in Campaign.

Centrally manage sophisticated content lifecycles with multiple contributors, automate multilingual email creation and publish approved content for automated campaign execution in one click. Ensure both your brand and message are consistent no matter what language the content is in as part of your streamlined content creation workflow for a faster time to market and increased ROI.

Adobe Experience Manager and 3rd party machine or human translation services through AEM are required. For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

    Multilingual email and SMS deliveries

Define and execute multilingual Email & SMS deliveries through a single delivery based on your automatically segmented customers' preferred language. Report on the performance of every delivery down to the language and individual levels.

More and more companies are faced with the challenge of delivering content in multiple languages as they grow at home and abroad. As such, streamlining localized message delivery is a key part of an effective customer communication strategy for multinational companies; companies in countries with multiple languages; and companies who want to further personalize their content at the lingual level no matter where customers reside. For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

    Adobe Campaign Notifications

Receive notifications regarding important system activities directly within Adobe Campaign Standard. You will be notified, for example, on the progress of your on-going deliveries or when a workflow is in error.

Real-time notifications keep relevant stakeholders informed and provide users with the ability to immediately and directly act on activity notifications from within the application. The result for teams is advanced agility, efficiency and smoother execution of campaigns. For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

    Delivery Alerting

In addition to viewing notifications directly in Adobe Campaign Standard, Adobe Campaign now also provides an email alerting system to trigger email alerts to users or external stakeholders of important system activities. Create, manage, and receive customizable alerts and dashboards to keep track of delivery successes or failures.

Adobe Campaign Delivery Alerting boosts efficiency by keeping all involved Adobe Campaign users in a company automatically informed about the delivery execution status, via email and dashboard. For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

    Encrypted Declared ID in Datasources

Send Email and SMS triggers without the need for an existing profile in Campaign by using encrypted contact information (email address or phone number) as a Declared ID. Because Encrypted Declared IDs can be decoded by Adobe Campaign Standard, Campaign can now create new marketable profiles when receiving audiences from other Experience Cloud solutions containing previously unknown contacts.

Target customers and unknown prospects in real-time through both email & SMS to improve loyalty in your existing customer base and acquire new customers respectively. Make the most of your first-party cookie data (from Adobe Audience Manager*) once prospects authenticate and leverage those insights in Adobe Campaign.

*Adobe Audience Manager is required. For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

KPI sharing from Campaign to Analytics

Share campaign data with Adobe Analytics to measure email marketing metrics from Campaign alongside other marketing and advertising efforts through conversion, unifying pre- and post-click behavior.

Track overall performance directly and uncover synergies with external programs in Analytics. Apply your learning from this consolidated view back into your campaigns; ultimately improving open, click-through and conversion rates boosting revenue and overall campaign performance.

Adobe Analytics is required. For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

Direct Mail Channel - Return To Sender

Flat file exchanges with Direct Mail providers incorporating Return to Sender information are now supported. This enhancement to the Direct Mail channel allows corresponding postal addresses to be excluded from future communications.

This enables marketers to be notified of an incorrect address and engage with the customer through other channels or to encourage him to update his postal address. This also reduces the number of wasted marketing dollars as marketers avoid sending mail to incorrect addresses.

Direct Mail is available as an add-on channel. For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

    Functionality

    Description

    Remarketing Triggers

Integration between the core service Triggers and Adobe Campaign allows you to send personalized emails to your customers as a reaction to specific behaviors that are tracked on your website by Adobe Analytics (within 15 minutes).

In Adobe Marketing Cloud, you define the different triggers, that is to say, the customer behaviors that you would like to monitor, such as all of the clients who abandoned their cart or their form, removed a product from their cart, or even the clients whose session expired. When creating a trigger, you define the trigger's condition and the data that will be sent in the event (pload) to Adobe Campaign.

In Adobe Campaign, you select the trigger that was previously created, you enrich the event data with datamart data and you define a transactional message template linked to that trigger. For example, when a client abandons their cart, an event is sent to Adobe Campaign which can then leverage this event via a remarketing email that is sent to the client within 15 minutes.

For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

    Transactional messages: Pause / Unpublish

You can now suspend the publication of a transactional template while you update its content. The corresponding messages are no longer sent, but they are stored in the database. When resuming, the queued messages are processed and they are sent if they have not expired.

For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

You can now also unpublish events and transactional templates. The corresponding messages are not sent anymore and they are not stored in the database.

For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

    Multibranding

Clients with multiple brands can now manage them in the same instance. Branding is a feature managed by the administrator of your Adobe Campaign instance that allows you to centrally configure all of the parameters related to a brand within Adobe Campaign. This includes things such as the logo to more technical parameters like tracking URLs, Web Analytics, server URL, domain name, etc.

For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

    Responsive email design preview

This feature allows you to test your email's responsiveness on different types of devices. In the email preview, a grid has been added to test your email on various screen sizes.

    Push notifications

A new channel has been added to allow marketers to send personalized and segmented push notifications on iOS and Android mobile devices. Messages can be sent through a single delivery or using a workflow activity. Compatibility with Transactional messaging will be available in future versions. This channel leverages the Mobile core service’s SDK (available here).

For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

This new functionality allows you to personalize an image source by inserting content blocks and dynamic text for tracking and personalization purposes.

It then becomes possible, amongst other things, to profit from the functionalities of AEM Asset (S7) dynamic media by entering parameters into the image URLs. For example, you can send an email with personalized images stating "Hello Alexandre, get the latest news about upcoming events in Paris!" or "Hello Frank, get the latest news about upcoming events in New York!".

    Functionality

    Description

    Simplified data import

You can now import data in a simplified manner.

Users simply select a template that was predefined by an administrator and upload the file containing the data to be imported. A workflow defined in the template is executed transparently for the user, who can access the details of the result of the import as well as a log of any errors.

The data from these files can be inserted into the database or serve as a means to directly create an audience.

For more information, refer to the detailed documentation.

    Creating programs and campaigns

Now, campaigns and programs are configured so that the day they are created is automatically used as the start date.

The end date is configured according to the start date, such as:

    Description

    Exporting lists

You can now export content from your lists into a file in CSV format. This function is available in all screens with a List mode (for example: profile list).

The data exported is the data in the columns displayed when exporting. By editing the list, you can therefore select the data that you would like to export.

Integration with Adobe Profiles & Audiences

You can now share audiences between Adobe Campaign and your other Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions:

    • Export: when you save an audience composed of profiles in a workflow, a new Share in Adobe Marketing Cloud option allows you to add profiles to an existing audience or to create a new audience.

    • Import: by creating a List type audience from the audience management screen, a new option allows you to identify it as an Adobe Marketing Cloud Audience. You can then select an existing shared audience to import it into Adobe Campaign.
