This use case details how to manage your landing page templates and how to create new landing pages that are ready for use.
You can use them to acquire and enhance the data about your visitors or offer them a subscription to a newsletter.

Through this use case, you will learn how to create and personalize a landing page. You can then use it to offer your clients to subscribe to a newsletter or to enrich the data of the profiles in your database.
You will need the following prerequisites:
From the advanced menu, via the Adobe Campaign logo, select Resources > Templates > Landing page templates, then duplicate the Subscription template.
In the template properties, select Subscription in the Specific actions and select a Specific service that already exists. You can leave the other parameters as they are.
The landing pages created from this template will already be configured with the parameters defined in the template.Read More
From the template defined in the previous step, create a new landing page in a program or campaign.
Once the landing page is created, you can go to its dashboard. You can modify your landing page parameters using the Edit properties button. In our case, the parameters defined in the template do not need any changes.Read More
You can now define the content of the landing page, to personalize it according to the role that the page has: update data, subscription to a service, profile acquisition, etc.
In addition, you have to define the content of the confirmation page and the error page. From the dashboard, use the scrolling arrows to go from one page to another.
A default content is offered but you can access the detail of each page to personalize it. To do this, select one of the pages from the dashboard to open the content editing mode. You can then configure the fields of the form, modify the aspect of the page or even add personalization fields.

Once you have configured the landing page and defined the content of its pages, you can Test the way it executes. The test, accessed from the action bar of the dashboard, is an essential step of the creation process.
It allows you to choose a service, if necessary, as well as a profile from the database in order to simulate executing the landing page even though it has not yet been made live. In the current use case, a service is already defined in the properties of the landing page, you therefore do not need to choose a new one for the test.
Warning, the landing page tests can only be carried out with profiles, and not with test profiles. The profile and service used are updated for real. It is best to use a fake profile.Read More
Once the tests have finished, you can publish your landing page using the Publish button from the action bar in the dashboard. A monitoring block shows the progression and status of the publication.
Publishing the landing page makes it accessible online. Once published, you can always update it: to do this, you have to republish it after each modification.
You can unpublish it at any time so that it is no longer available.Read More
Once published, your landing page is ready to be used. You can then put different mechanisms in place that allow you to access it to acquire new profiles in your database or to obtain additional information on existing profiles.

By default, Adobe Campaign offers ready-for-use contents which put registration and subscription mechanisms into place quickly, such as:
In the template, specify all of the parameters that your landing pages must have in common. For example: targeting dimension, page access parameters for identified or non-identified visitors, actions specific to form validation by a visitor, brand/logo to use in the content, etc.
The landing page template has numerous parameters. The complete list of parameters is available in the detailed documentation.
In the program or campaign that you have chosen, create a new marketing activity.
Select Landing page.
Select a template, then enter the general parameters of the landing page (label, description, etc.).
You will then access the landing page dashboard. By default, the landing page contains three pages that can be accessed via scrolling arrows: the main content page, a confirmation page, and an error page.
Access the landing page properties via the Edit properties button, found in the dashboard action bar. The default properties are those configured in the landing page template used.
Your modifications are only effective for the landing page that is being edited. If you want to apply these modifications to other landing pages, you can carry them out in a dedicated template and then create other landing pages from that template.

The main page, confirmation page, and the error page of a landing page can be edited using the content editor. Certain operations are specific to landing pages.
Several fields are configured by default. You can delete or add them. To do this, you have to access the raw HTML version of the landing page, using the Show source button.
For example, to add an input field mapped to the First name field of an Adobe Campaign profile:

You can edit the label and the mapping of a field that already exists in the form. To do this, select a field that already exists in the content and specify the corresponding database field using the Form data pane on the left. The available database fields correspond to the fields of the targeting dimension selected in the landing page parameters (see Targeting dimensions and resources).
You can also define whether or not a field is mandatory.
You can configure the way the landing page behaves when a visitor selects the button to confirm his subscription. To do this, select the button and choose the action that you need from the pane on the left.
You can use images from different sources. For example, you can use an image from your Adobe Experience Cloud file library in the place of the default banner used.
Just as in an email or SMS delivery, you can insert personalization fields that will adapt to the context of the visitor of the page. For example, you can insert a profile's first name on the confirmation page of the landing page, to thank them for registering.
The landing page test allows you to simulate the way the landing page will execute and behave when it is available online.
From the dashboard, go to the landing page test screen via the Test button.
Select a service on which to test your landing page with the Change service button, unless a service is already configured in the landing page parameters.
Select a customer profile with the Change profile button. The selected profile's data which is used in the landing page (via the form fields or any personalization fields if used) is displayed in the corresponding fields.When the form is being submitted, the selected profile's data will be updated for real. To avoid modifying real profiles, use a fake customer profile (from a database that you control).
Complete the remaining fields of the form, then save your changes.
The profile's data is updated and that profile is now subscribed to the selected service. The confirmation page is then displayed.
If you are happy with the way the landing page has behaved, you can publish it to make it available online.
From the dashboard, you can publish the landing page using the Publish button. A landing page monitoring block is displayed and shows the progress of the publication.
You can access the Landing page log to view further details. To do this, go to the log screen using the ... button found at the bottom part of the monitoring block. This can be useful if a problem occurs when publishing.
Once your landing page has been published, you can update it by republishing it. To do this, you do not need to unpublish it beforehand. However, note that if an error occurs while republishing it, the landing page status will indicate that an error has occurred, but the previous version which is already online will stay published.
You can also unpublish your landing page so that it is no longer accessible online. Any visitors trying to access it will then be redirected if you have configured a redirection URL.
